Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI infrastructure company powering autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The company develops digital infrastructure, operating systems, and autonomy solutions trusted by 18 of the top 20 global automakers and the US military. As a Senior Validation Engineer, you will lead the testing and validation of physical AI systems, working primarily with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches, lab vehicles, and prototype testing. Your responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive test cases based on system requirements, conducting integration tests across automotive components (infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, networking), and setting up/configuring HIL test environments. You will perform root cause analysis when tests fail, collaborating closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. A key aspect of the role involves maintaining tight collaboration with OEM customers, ensuring smooth integration of their functions and clear communication on test results and issues. You'll also conduct manual vehicle testing to validate functional requirements and write Python scripts for test automation to improve efficiency and coverage. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent), with at least 1 year of test engineering experience at an automotive company. You should be proficient in Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, Pytest, Python, automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, DoIP), relevant ISO standards (14229, 13400), diagnostic tools (PCAN-Explorer, Wireshark), and development tools (Jira, Jama, Git, Jenkins). Applied Intuition is headquartered in Sunnyvale with global offices. The company operates on an in-office model with employees expected to work from their office 5 days per week, though occasional flexibility is available for morning remote work or schedule adjustments.
