Suno is building the world's first creative entertainment platform for music creation, backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed, and NVIDIA. The company has reached 100 million users and is the fastest-growing consumer entertainment company and leader in AI music. You will own the quantitative research strategy for understanding user monetization, subscription behavior, and product health. This is a depth hire—you'll be the methodological expert on the team, responsible for deciding what questions can and cannot be answered with data, and pushing back when stakeholders request unsupported claims. Key responsibilities include: - Design and execute advanced quantitative studies end-to-end: choice-based conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF, price sensitivity analysis, monadic testing, segmentation, and driver analysis. Own sampling, quotas, logic, bias mitigation, weighting, and analysis. - Partner directly with product and growth leaders on subscription revenue decisions, turning packaging, tier, and pricing questions into defensible studies with honest confidence intervals. - Build and evolve longitudinal measurement systems: satisfaction trackers, sentiment analysis, product health composites, and perception scales. Ensure monthly reporting to leadership with trustworthy trends. - Combine attitudinal data with behavioral data in Snowflake to explain conversion, retention, and churn patterns. Work as a peer with data science, not as a requester. - Own the measurement layer of segmentation: turn behavioral clusters into segments with attitudinal meaning, and keep them validated over time. - Lead qualitative research (interviews, diary studies, concept work) when depth is needed to define constructs before measurement or explain findings numbers cannot. - Act as internal consultant on method selection across the organization, advising when questions need qualitative research, quantitative studies, experiments, or no research at all. - Communicate findings as clear narratives with recommendations; dashboards and decks are delivery mechanisms, not the output. Your closest partners will be PMs and leads working on growth, monetization, and subscription revenue, who make pricing and conversion decisions on a weekly cadence. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years conducting quantitative research in a product environment, with genuine qualitative range alongside it - Degree in Statistics, Behavioral Science, Psychology, Sociology, HCI, Economics, or related quantitative field - Genuine depth in end-to-end survey process: construct definition, instrument design, logic and branching, quotas, bias mitigation, weighting, and analysis - Hands-on experience designing and defending advanced survey methodologies: choice-based conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF, price sensitivity methods, monadic or sequential monadic testing - Experience building longitudinal measurement frameworks: trackers, benchmarks, perception scales, composite health metrics - Comfortable in SQL and Python or R for analysis; able to work directly against a data warehouse - Fluent in applied statistics: regression, ANOVA, hypothesis testing, and knowing when sample size cannot support a claim - Proficient in qualitative methods with clear judgment about when 12 interviews beats a survey - Strong product sense and outcome-centric mindset; ability to structure vague questions - Persuasive with senior stakeholders, including when findings contradict their hopes - Self-directed with high tolerance for ambiguity and speed; works with startup-level autonomy - Excited by consumer products, creativity, music, and AI PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Advanced degree with methodological training plus industry experience - Experience in subscription consumer businesses, especially pricing, packaging, conversion, retention, or win-back - Experience with survey platforms and conjoint tools (Conjointly, Sawtooth, Qualtrics, Sprig, or similar) - Experience with causal inference, experimentation, covariate adjustment, and critical A/B test reading - Experience standing up measurement infrastructure from scratch - Background in consumer audio, music, or social products - Experience researching AI and generative products where user mental models are still forming - Bonus: have used Suno to make music Must be authorized to work in the United States and willing to work 5 days per week at the NYC office.
