You'll join the Design Systems team as a Senior UI Designer, responsible for elevating the visual quality, consistency, and craft of the Tide app. This is a specialized role focused on driving the visual evolution of the product while working closely with designers, engineers, and brand partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evolving the visual language, components, and patterns within the design system
- Refining color palette, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy to create a polished, modern experience
- Identifying high-impact UI improvement opportunities across the app to enhance intuitiveness and brand perception
- Leading UI-focused initiatives that strengthen how members perceive Tide through the product
- Creating visual concepts and prototypes that communicate design ideas clearly
- Building narratives around design decisions to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Brand, and Design
- Balancing aesthetic excellence with usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility
- Championing high standards of visual craft through reviews and collaboration
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in visual design, graphic design, UI design, or related field with strong portfolio
- Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent)
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks (preferred)
- Experience with design systems
- Exceptional UI design skills with attention to detail, composition, and aesthetics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with design documentation tools (Storybook, Zeroheight)
- Ability to collaborate in agile, cross-functional environments
- Leadership qualities with mentoring capability
- Proactive, self-motivated attitude with flexibility in fast-paced environments
Preferred: motion design and prototyping experience (After Effects, Principle); familiarity with AI-powered design tools.
