You'll join the Design Systems team as a Senior UI Designer, serving as the dedicated visual specialist responsible for elevating the Tide app's interface. This role focuses on driving the visual evolution of the product while maintaining usability, accessibility, and brand consistency across millions of daily users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evolving the visual language, components, and design system patterns
- Refining color palette, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy to create a modern, polished experience
- Identifying high-impact UI improvement opportunities across the app
- Leading UI-focused initiatives that strengthen brand perception through product experience
- Creating visual concepts and prototypes that communicate design thinking clearly
- Building narratives around design decisions to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Brand, and Design teams
- Balancing aesthetic excellence with usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility
- Championing high visual craft standards through design reviews and collaboration
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years in visual design, graphic design, UI design, or related field with strong digital product portfolio
- Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent)
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks (preferred)
- Experience with design systems
- Experience with motion design and prototyping tools (After Effects, Principle) preferred
- Exceptional UI design skills with attention to detail, composition, and aesthetics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Documentation experience (Storybook, Zeroheight)
- Cross-functional collaboration in agile environments
- Leadership qualities with mentoring ability
- Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable mindset
