You'll join the Design Systems team as a Senior UI Designer, responsible for elevating the visual quality, consistency, and craft of the Tide app. This is a specialized role focused on UI excellence within a broader design organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evolving Tide's visual language, components, and design system patterns
- Refining color palette, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy to create a polished, modern product experience
- Identifying high-impact UI improvement opportunities across the app that enhance intuitiveness, modernity, and brand perception
- Leading UI-focused initiatives that strengthen how members perceive Tide through product experience
- Creating visual concepts and prototypes that communicate design ideas clearly
- Building narratives around design decisions to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Brand, and Design teams
- Balancing aesthetic excellence with usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility
- Championing high standards of visual craft through design reviews and collaboration
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in visual design, graphic design, UI design, or related field with strong portfolio
- Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent)
- Experience working in or with design systems
- Exceptional UI design skills with keen eye for detail, composition, and aesthetics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with design documentation (Storybook, Zeroheight)
- Cross-functional collaboration experience in agile environments
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks
- Motion design and prototyping experience (After Effects, Principle)
- Familiarity with AI-powered design tools
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities
