Salary: USD 163,800 - 204,750 / annual
Scale is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Revenue Accounting to lead revenue integrity and financial infrastructure for an AI data platform company. You will oversee the revenue accounting function, managing a small team through monthly close activities, complex journal entry reviews, and key account reconciliations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a revenue accounting team through monthly close cycles
- Serve as technical subject matter expert on ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP compliance, making final determinations on revenue recognition for standard and highly bespoke contracts
- Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards and prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes
- Act as primary contact for external auditors on all revenue-related matters
- Partner with Finance and Strategy teams on revenue metrics, variance analysis, and long-range forecasting
- Architect solutions for complex transactions and ensure financial systems scale with company growth
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA highly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and high-growth industry experience (SaaS preferred)
- 1+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Proven ability to problem-solve in fast-moving, ambiguity-heavy environments
- Experience with enterprise ERPs and revenue recognition software
- Strong technical rigor and ability to translate complex research into operational policies
