As Senior Technical Recruiter, you will report directly to the Head of Talent and own full-cycle recruiting for engineering, AI/ML, product management, and technical infrastructure roles. You'll be the primary architect of the technical talent pipeline, partnering closely with founders and the Director of Engineering to attract world-class talent.
Key responsibilities include: driving end-to-end technical hiring across engineering and product teams; partnering with ex-Meta engineering founders to define role requirements and map target talent pools; proactive sourcing from technical communities, open-source networks, GitHub, and alumni networks to engage passive top-tier talent; optimizing technical evaluation processes including code reviews and system design loops; tracking candidate funnel metrics to continuously improve the recruiting engine; delivering a fast, high-touch candidate experience; and representing Nectar in the engineering community to enhance employer brand.
You'll need 5-7+ years of technical recruiting experience with a proven track record of sourcing and closing high-bar Software Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, and Technical Product Managers. Deep technical literacy is essential—you should confidently discuss modern tech stacks, distributed systems, AI/LLM infrastructure, and engineering trade-offs. You must have strong judgment evaluating engineering craftsmanship and problem-solving ability, demonstrated success competing against major tech companies and high-growth AI startups, and startup DNA with resourcefulness and adaptability.
Bonus qualifications include prior experience recruiting in AI/ML, developer tools, or distributed systems; an active network of senior engineering and product talent in Silicon Valley; and experience with modern AI sourcing tools or automated candidate engagement workflows.
The role is based in Palo Alto with in-person collaboration required. Compensation is competitive with meaningful early-stage equity, plus health/vision/dental benefits, 401(k) match, direct mentorship from ex-Meta technical leaders, and exposure to state-of-the-art AI infrastructure.
