Amperesand is reinventing power infrastructure for a new era of energy abundance. The company develops intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products based on advanced medium-voltage solid-state transformer (SST) technology, designed to support the massive electricity demand from AI data centers, electric vehicles, and modern industrial growth. With hubs in San Francisco, Reno, and Singapore, Amperesand is building hardware and software solutions that are faster to deploy, more efficient, and capable of supporting dynamic energy needs at scale.
As Senior Technical Program Manager, Reliability, you will own and drive all reliability program activities across the SST product portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product development, quality, and operations, serving as the central coordinator ensuring products meet all applicable reliability, durability, and lifetime performance requirements on time and at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the reliability program end-to-end, leading planning, coordination, and execution of all reliability and qualification activities (HALT, HASS, ALT, FMEA/DFMEA, MTBF analysis, derating assessments) across engineering, product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality
- Build and maintain the reliability roadmap by defining milestone-driven schedules aligned with product development timelines (EVT, DVT, PVT), ensuring testing and qualification submissions avoid program delays
- Lead design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design review processes with a reliability lens, driving accountability for durability and lifetime implications
- Own test sample submissions, failure investigation tracking, response timelines, and qualification-readiness assessments
- Identify and mitigate reliability risks early by surfacing design, material, or process gaps that could jeopardize product lifetime and field performance; partner with engineering and operations to drive resolution
- Work across every stage of the product lifecycle from early design through production release to embed reliability engineering into development processes
This is an individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise in reliability engineering, program coordination across multiple disciplines, and the ability to influence without direct authority.
