As Senior Technical Program Manager for Core Engineering, you will serve as the connective tissue between engineering execution and program delivery. Your primary responsibility is to absorb the coordination load currently falling on engineering leads, freeing them to focus on technical work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead requirement intake and refinement sessions, translating product intent into clear, testable, well-scoped engineering requirements with defined acceptance criteria.
- Maintain end-to-end requirement traceability from initiative through epic, story, and acceptance criteria, ensuring every unit of work maps to stated needs and definitions of done.
- Enforce scope discipline throughout the release cycle via explicit intake and change-control processes.
- Own Jira as your system of record, maintaining current status across initiatives, epics, and stories; manage the blocked-initiative log and coordinate state transitions with Project Engineers.
- Establish and enforce Jira hygiene conventions (fields, labels, components, definition-of-ready/done) to keep the tool reliable.
- Own and facilitate all Core Engineering sprint ceremonies—planning, standup, review, retro, and backlog refinement—including agenda prep, facilitation, follow-up notes, and action-item tracking.
- Manage cross-team dependencies across Core, Systems, Solutions, and Release Engineering, surfacing and resolving blockers proactively.
- Produce concise, audience-relevant technical briefs to drive program momentum.
Required qualifications: 8+ years in technical program/project management for software engineering teams; demonstrated mastery of requirement management (intake, refinement, traceability, change control) on complex programs; high Jira fluency with dashboard, workflow, and custom report configuration; excellent verbal and written communication; experience standing up and driving adoption of new process frameworks from scratch; U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include defense tech, aerospace, robotics, or regulated/mission-critical domain experience; Agile or Project Management certifications (SAFe, Scrum Alliance, PMP, Lean Six Sigma); product management, change management, or process improvement experience; experience in highly technical, AI-forward team environments.
