LightForce is transforming orthodontics through a fully digital, 3D-printed platform that delivers customized, patient-specific brackets paired with AI-driven treatment planning. The company is redefining the standard of care by increasing practice efficiency, improving clinical consistency, and enabling more predictable treatment outcomes. The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead a strategic next-generation product program representing a significant expansion of LightForce's portfolio. This role requires exceptional program management expertise to navigate an extremely complex technical path, coordinating cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and manufacturing domains to ensure successful delivery. Key responsibilities include: - Leading the strategic product program through its entire lifecycle, managing complex technical integration within LightForce's personalized orthodontics system - Developing comprehensive program plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and critical paths that balance technical complexity with business objectives - Coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, manufacturing, and clinical affairs to ensure alignment and execution - Identifying, tracking, and mitigating program risks while developing contingency plans for complex technical challenges - Leading weekly program updates and status reports for executive leadership and stakeholders - Managing resource allocation across multiple workstreams to optimize team composition - Establishing program governance, including decision-making frameworks, change management processes, and escalation paths - Driving continuous process improvement within the program and across the organization - Balancing competing priorities and making data-driven decisions - Providing technical leadership on manufacturing, material science, and digital workflow integration challenges The role is primarily office-based in Wilmington, Massachusetts, with occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and partner locations. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred) - 5+ years of technical program management experience - Demonstrated experience managing programs with significant technical complexity and interdependencies - Track record of successful program delivery at scale with significant technical components - Expert-level program management skills with ability to lead complex technical initiatives from concept to launch - Deep understanding of hardware/software development lifecycles and manufacturing processes - Excellence in stakeholder management with strong written and verbal communication skills - Proven experience managing risks and dependencies in technically complex environments - Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity - Strong leadership presence with ability to influence without direct authority PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Knowledge of 3D printing technologies and workflows - Experience with material science and advanced manufacturing technologies - Experience leading transformative or first-of-its-kind programs - Knowledge of design controls and quality system requirements for medical devices
