webAI is building distributed AI infrastructure for personalized, on-device AI that keeps enterprise data and IP private. The company is developing an end-to-end platform enabling large-scale AI models to run on standard consumer hardware with full user control and security.
You will own messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy across the commercial business as a senior individual contributor. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, and business development—translating deep technical capability into compelling narratives that resonate with technical buyers and decision-makers evaluating on-device AI solutions. You will set category narrative, participate in customer pitches, influence product direction, and raise the craft of marketing across the team without formal management authority.
Key outcomes include establishing webAI's differentiated position in the on-device and distributed AI market; measurably accelerating pipeline conversion and sales cycle velocity; equipping sales and BD teams to win against competitors; ensuring product launches generate qualified pipeline and adoption; and enabling field teams to ramp faster with consistent, high-fidelity storytelling.
Responsibilities include owning messaging and positioning strategy for commercial audiences; defining webAI's category narrative and competitive differentiation; partnering with sales and BD to build content and assets that accelerate deal velocity; working directly with product and engineering to understand the platform and influence roadmap with market insight; translating complex AI concepts (on-device inference, model performance, privacy, security) for technical and non-technical buyers; owning competitive intelligence and positioning; developing sales enablement materials (pitch decks, battlecards, solution briefs, FAQs); leading product launches end-to-end; mentoring others and raising marketing standards; and synthesizing customer, field, and market input to inform strategy.
Requirements: 8+ years of product marketing experience with strong technical orientation, including time at a startup or fast-growing technology company. Track record of owning messaging and positioning strategy that measurably moves pipeline, win rates, and deal velocity. Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior individual contributor, setting direction and driving cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight. Ability to go deep on technical subject matter, particularly AI and machine learning, and explain it clearly to diverse audiences. Direct experience partnering with product and engineering teams. Strong instincts for commercial selling motions and versatility across buyer types. Excellent writing and storytelling skills with audience adaptation. History of influencing peers and leaders without formal authority. Self-starter mindset and resilience in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments. Bachelor's degree minimum.
Preferred: Experience in developer marketing or working with AI/ML practitioners. Familiarity with on-device, edge, or distributed AI. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and AI model deployment. Hands-on technical acumen in AI, ML, vector search, cloud computing, or databases. Proven track record launching technical products and driving adoption in commercial and developer communities. Cross-functional experience with Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, and Sales.
