Coder, a Series B AI infrastructure platform, seeks a Senior Technical Accountant to own complex accounting work with focus on technical revenue accounting, equity accounting, consolidated financial reporting, and quarterly Board/investor reporting.
Reporting to the Controller, you will lead key technical accounting workstreams and shape the technical accounting function as the company scales. Core responsibilities include:
- Own technical accounting analysis for complex revenue arrangements (contract modifications, variable consideration, new products, SSP analysis, non-routine transactions)
- Research and document accounting positions for complex transactions using FASB ASC guidance
- Draft, maintain, and evolve ASC 606 revenue recognition policy and revenue playbook
- Partner with Corporate Accounting on complex revenue matters affecting period-end reporting
- Advise Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and Product on accounting implications of business decisions
- Prepare and review quarterly stock-based compensation accounting (journal entries, disclosures, variance analysis)
- Prepare group financial statements including consolidation and entity-level reporting for multinational structure
- Own preparation of quarterly Board and investor reporting on financial results and key accounting matters
- Evaluate accounting implications of multi-jurisdictional operations
- Serve as primary technical accounting partner for external auditors
- Translate complex guidance into clear recommendations for leadership
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, memo drafting, and process improvements
- Support SOX readiness through strong controls and documentation
Required: Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, active CPA, 4+ years progressive accounting experience with substantial technical accounting work, Big Four or public accounting audit background, deep ASC 606 knowledge, ASC 718 stock-based compensation experience, consolidated financial statement preparation, multinational company experience, strong Excel and communication skills, ability to work independently in fast-moving environment.
