Docker is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) to serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, ensuring they realize measurable value from Docker's platform. This role sits within Docker's Customer Engineering Group, which unifies pre- and post-sales technical teams to deliver seamless, outcomes-driven customer experiences. You will build strong relationships with assigned strategic customers, understanding their technical landscape, priorities, and success criteria. Key responsibilities include driving product adoption and operational maturity, conducting regular technical and business reviews to demonstrate value realization, and identifying growth opportunities. You'll serve as the primary post-sales technical contact, connecting customer feedback to Product, Engineering, and Support teams. You will partner with Solutions Engineers to ensure smooth handoffs from pre-sales through onboarding and sustained success. You'll create and share reusable best practices, reference architectures, and technical playbooks that scale customer success. Proactive guidance on containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and emerging developer productivity trends is expected. Operationally, you'll maintain high-quality documentation of customer engagements, health status, and progress toward success metrics. You'll contribute to a consistent TAM engagement model using standardized processes for onboarding, health reviews, and renewals, and support development of scalable initiatives such as workshops and digital enablement programs. Required: 4+ years in customer-facing technical roles (TAM, Solutions Architect, DevOps Consultant, Customer Engineer). Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, and cloud-native development practices. Proven ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes and drive measurable customer value. Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences. Skilled at identifying patterns and building long-term strategies. Comfortable working cross-functionally in a global, distributed organization. Bonus qualifications include experience with developer-first platforms or PLG models, familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure or agent-based development platforms, and prior post-sales or lifecycle management experience at infrastructure or SaaS companies.
