Airbyte is the data and action layer for AI agents, providing fast, accurate, authenticated access to business data across hundreds of sources. The company has raised $181M from leading investors including Benchmark, Accel, Altimeter, Coatue, and Y Combinator since 2020, and is now building context infrastructure for production-grade agents on an open foundation. As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprise customers implement and adopt Airbyte products while serving as their advocate within the company. You'll work at the intersection of customer success, sales, product, and engineering, driving improved qualification, faster deal cycles, and higher customer satisfaction and retention. Key responsibilities include: **Technical Implementation:** Lead and execute customer technical projects including implementation and deployment of Airbyte solutions. Provide hands-on support and deep expertise in Kubernetes (troubleshooting workloads, pods, networking, storage, resource management in production), database technologies (SQL, CDC, replication, data synchronization), REST APIs (HTTP methods, authentication, webhooks, JSON), and LLM-based tooling integration. Guide customers throughout their journey with technical expertise and troubleshooting. **Client Engagement:** Work directly with clients' technical teams to understand needs and tailor solutions. Manage technical success by collaborating with Airbyte's support, product, and engineering teams. Help clients evaluate and adopt AI agent frameworks to build autonomous data agents leveraging Airbyte. **Cross-Department Collaboration:** Partner with Sales to identify growth opportunities, serve as the internal source of truth for customer technical requirements, and work with Product and Engineering to surface customer needs and influence roadmap decisions. **Advocacy and Evangelism:** Demonstrate Airbyte's offerings and best practices to clients and at industry events. Serve as a brand ambassador. Evangelize best practices for AI-ready data stacks. Create and deliver technical content including blog posts, demos, and conference talks. **Requirements:** - 6+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Technical Account Manager, solutions architect, professional services engineer, or consulting) - Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments with direct troubleshooting capability (not just high-level advisory) - 2+ years in a startup environment, ideally in modern data infrastructure (cloud applications, databases, ELT tools, data warehouses) - Hands-on experience with one or more AI frameworks - Exposure to AI agent frameworks and prompt engineering best practices (strong plus) - Proven track record supporting products that impact business productivity - Exceptional customer orientation focused on seamless onboarding and technical success - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
