As Senior Technical Account Manager, you will drive customer success and adoption of Airbyte's data integration and AI-ready solutions. You'll lead technical implementation projects, guide customers through their journey with hands-on support, and serve as their advocate within the company.
Key responsibilities include:
**Technical Implementation:** Lead customer technical projects including implementation and deployment of Airbyte solutions. Provide hands-on support leveraging deep Kubernetes expertise (troubleshooting workloads, pods, networking, storage, resource management in production). Demonstrate deep understanding of database technologies (SQL, CDC, replication, data synchronization) and REST APIs (HTTP methods, authentication, webhooks, JSON). Advise customers on integrating LLM-based tooling into their data infrastructure.
**Client Engagement:** Work directly with clients' technical teams to understand needs and tailor solutions. Manage technical success by collaborating with Airbyte's support, Product, and Engineering teams. Help clients evaluate and adopt AI agent frameworks to build autonomous data agents leveraging Airbyte.
**Cross-Department Collaboration:** Partner with Sales to identify growth opportunities. Act as internal source of truth for customer technical requirements and needed functionalities. Surface customer needs to Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap.
**Advocacy & Evangelism:** Demonstrate Airbyte's offerings and best practices to clients and at industry events. Serve as brand ambassador. Evangelize best practices for AI-ready data stacks. Create and deliver technical content (blog posts, demos, conference talks) showcasing how Airbyte enables modern AI architectures.
**Requirements:**
- 6+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Technical Account Manager, solutions architect, professional services engineer, or consulting)
- Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments; comfortable directly troubleshooting workloads, pods, networking, storage, resource allocation, and deployment issues
- 2+ years in startup environment, ideally in modern data infrastructure (cloud applications, databases, ELT tools, data warehouses)
- Hands-on experience with one or more AI frameworks
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks and prompt engineering best practices (strong plus)
- Proven track record supporting products that directly impact business productivity
- Exceptional customer orientation with focus on seamless onboarding and ongoing technical success
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
