Tabby, a high-growth fintech company, is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to lead tax compliance and regulatory functions across Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC region. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and regulatory affairs, managing end-to-end tax obligations in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Key responsibilities include preparing and filing corporate tax, Zakat, VAT, and withholding tax compliance documents within regulatory deadlines. You will calculate and record monthly and year-end tax provisions, maintain audit-ready documentation, and manage all ZATCA (Saudi tax authority) portal activities including registration updates, return submissions, and regulatory correspondence. The role requires supporting both statutory and tax audits by coordinating with external auditors and ZATCA officials, preparing required schedules and reconciliations.
You will monitor evolving Saudi tax legislation (Zakat, CIT, VAT, WHT, e-invoicing/FATOORA requirements) and assess business impact. A critical component is ensuring e-invoicing (FATOORA) compliance, including Phase 2 integration coordination with IT and finance teams. You will review contracts, invoices, and cross-border transactions to determine correct withholding tax treatment and support transfer pricing documentation and related-party disclosures.
Additional duties include supporting month-end and year-end close activities, identifying process improvements and automation opportunities within the ERP system, and managing ZATCA correspondence, assessments, and disputes.
Required: 2–3 years of tax reporting, compliance, or external audit experience, ideally in fintech, banking, or Big 4 firms. Strong technical knowledge of Saudi tax regulations is essential. Experience with ZATCA submissions and professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA) are highly preferred. Advanced Excel proficiency and ERP experience (Oracle NetSuite a plus) required. Fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal) is mandatory.
