Curri is a YC-backed logistics platform (founded 2018) solving last-mile delivery inefficiencies in construction and adjacent industries. They operate a nationwide fleet and are headquartered in Ventura, CA. You will own full-cycle recruiting for technical talent across software engineering, data/ML, product management, and design. This is a high-autonomy role where you'll build sourcing strategies from scratch for searches without proven channels, using market mapping, competitive research, and targeted outreach while managing multiple complex searches simultaneously. Key responsibilities: - Own end-to-end recruiting from first outreach through signed offer for engineers, data/ML specialists, product managers, and designers - Build sourcing strategies from scratch for uncharted searches, running several complex searches concurrently without losing momentum or candidate experience - Lead intake and calibration with hiring managers to set hiring bars and use market data to reset expectations when searches stall - Use funnel and pipeline metrics (time-to-fill, etc.) to spot problems early and provide root-cause analysis and recommendations to leaders - Document and systematize what works into playbooks and process improvements for the broader recruiting team - Stay current on how AI is changing technical/product roles and recruiting itself, bringing those tools and insights into Curri's hiring process You'll report to the VP, People and partner directly with engineering, product, and executive leadership. The role offers real autonomy to shape search strategy, hiring bars, and recruiting playbooks, plus input on how the team adopts AI tools. The position is based in Ventura with an expectation of 3 days per week in-office; remote arrangements may be considered for exceptional candidates outside the area. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of in-house recruiting experience, including technical and product engineering recruiting within the last two years (agency-only backgrounds are not a fit) - Proven full-cycle ownership across technical disciplines with the judgment to distinguish top-tier talent from average candidates in every function you recruit for - Strong advisory presence with leaders: represent candidates accurately without overselling, push back when it matters, influence decisions through expertise - High autonomy paired with real collaboration; make your own calls on search strategy and process, know when to escalate resourcing and headcount questions - Hands-on fluency with an ATS (preferably Ashby), LinkedIn Recruiter, and AI tools for sourcing and productivity; track record of mentoring teammates and raising the bar BONUS: - Experience supporting technical hiring at a hyper-growth product and technology company - Experience recruiting for data, ML, and AI-focused roles - Track record of building a technical recruiting playbook or sourcing engine from the ground up
