Teya is a Series C fintech platform serving local businesses across Europe with financial tools, thoughtful design, and human support. This Senior Talent Partner role owns engineering hiring strategy and execution, reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition. You will be the strategic hiring partner for engineering leadership, responsible for raising and maintaining Teya's engineering talent bar across London, Porto, and Latvia. Your focus is on talent density—hiring exceptional engineers who compound value rather than scaling headcount. You'll own end-to-end recruiting for critical and complex engineering roles including senior individual contributors, engineering leads, and specialized profiles. Key responsibilities include: designing and leading centralized engineering talent pipelines across geographies; running structured hiring manager intakes that translate briefs into clear role definitions and interview plans; standardizing interview loops and rubrics to ensure fair, consistent assessment; leading debriefs and making evidence-based hiring decisions, including advocating for no-hire when signal doesn't meet standards; designing sourcing strategies for hard-to-hire profiles using AI-assisted outreach and community partnerships; coaching hiring managers and interviewers on structured interviewing and decision quality; owning recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance, quality-of-hire) and presenting insights to leadership; and driving cross-functional projects to improve engineering hiring processes. You bring extensive technical recruiting experience from high-growth tech, fintech, or product-led companies, with a proven track record owning senior engineering hiring across multiple locations. You've designed or overhauled hiring processes—centralized pipelines, interview structures, rubrics, calibration—ideally with a bar-raiser philosophy. You operate comfortably with senior stakeholders, can challenge and influence, and bring people together around clear plans. You have deep, creative sourcing capability including practical AI tool use for outreach, sourcing automation, and pipeline analytics. Strong analytical skills enable you to build dashboards, spot bottlenecks, and use data to prioritize. You have a builder's mindset, fixing broken processes rather than working around them, and you're energized by ambiguity. You have genuine interest in engineering and product, understanding how great teams are built and scaled, with conviction that who you hire matters more than how many.
