Salary: CAD 121,000 - 163,600 / annual
Jobber is a SaaS platform helping small home service businesses (plumbers, painters, landscapers) manage quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and payments. This is a new, individual-contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Talent. You will own both external talent brand strategy and internal employee communications, setting strategy and executing across both domains.
Talent Brand Responsibilities:
- Develop and evolve talent brand strategy, translating the Employee Value Proposition into campaigns, stories, and candidate experiences
- Partner with Talent Attraction to create targeted approaches for priority candidate audiences
- Build an employee storytelling program across owned and paid channels
- Define editorial rhythm, channel strategy, and measurement approach
Internal Communications Responsibilities:
- Own communications strategy for the People team, ensuring employees understand programs and decisions affecting their experience
- Partner on communications for performance, compensation, benefits, engagement, learning, and lifecycle moments
- Build proactive plans for significant organizational changes, equipping managers with context and tools
- Establish standards, templates, and planning rhythms to raise communication quality company-wide
- Define success metrics and continuously improve based on employee feedback
You will partner closely with Talent Attraction, the broader People team, Marketing, and Communications. Year one deliverables include a documented talent brand and internal communications strategy, a differentiated EVP showing up consistently in priority candidate channels, a running storytelling engine with editorial calendar, end-to-end communication of major People programs, and measurement baselines for both functions.
Required experience: deep background in employer brand, people team communications, marketing, or corporate communications; exceptional writing and editing skills; ability to build strategy from scratch and execute independently; credibility with senior stakeholders; fluency in audience segmentation, channel strategy, and campaign development; comfort with ambiguity; experience with qualitative and quantitative insights; experience communicating organizational change or People programs.
