Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Quality Engineering Team. This role focuses on PCBA, circuit cards, sensors, communication modules, and line replaceable units (LRUs) for avionics systems. You will partner across product development, production, and field operations to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high-quality and reliable components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with design teams to support product development, provide design-for-manufacturability feedback, and generate product data (drawings, BOMs, part requirements) for precision mechanical parts.
- Leverage expertise in machining, molding, additive manufacturing, fabrication, special processes, and inspection/measurement to support internal design processes and manage technical risks, prototyping, and scaling for volume production.
- Drive supplier quality development throughout product development stages via design reviews, process development, testing, and qualification activities (PPAP, FAIR, audits, inspection development).
- Collaborate with development engineering, product quality, sourcing, category management, and program management to ensure predictable supply and manage exceptions, containments, and deviations.
- Analyze key and critical characteristics, develop measurement systems, and lead supplier qualification activities.
- Own elimination of supplier risk to improve quality and reliability across the product lifecycle through audits, readiness reviews, training, and documentation.
- Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities; own containments for purchased goods.
- Drive supplier corrective action and response (SCAR) processes and share lessons learned across product teams.
- Audit supplier Quality Management Systems for compliance with Anduril and customer flow-down requirements.
- Lead supplier onsite audits and reviews for contract deliverables.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or similar technical field, plus experience producing precision mechanical parts for aerospace or defense, and scaling supplier capabilities from prototype through production.
