As Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will drive procurement strategy and execution for cloud data center infrastructure equipment categories. This is a foundational role for someone ready to scale their career in sourcing within a high-growth, mission-driven technology company.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for multiple cloud data center categories, managing the full procurement lifecycle from market analysis through supplier performance management
• Partner with Data Center Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to deliver value, mitigate risk, and build strategic supplier relationships that support rapid growth
• Lead contract negotiations and supplier relationship management, optimizing cost, quality, and service delivery
• Conduct market analysis, comparative vendor analysis, and bid evaluations (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs); prepare commercial award recommendations for leadership
• Identify and implement procurement process improvements to increase efficiency and visibility
• Manage formal and informal source selection and screening processes in support of engineering teams
• Develop and maintain long-term supplier relationships; proactively communicate project status and risks to stakeholders
You bring 2–5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or category management experience, ideally in a high-growth tech or startup environment. You have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field. Strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, negotiation experience, and solid stakeholder communication are essential. Bonus: exposure to data center infrastructure categories, Tier 2/3 provider management, or procurement certifications (CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, CTSC).
