Abnormal AI is seeking a Senior Strategic Events Manager to lead the design and execution of a diverse portfolio of owned, executive, and internal events. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with strategic ownership and clear growth potential.
You will own end-to-end delivery across summits, roadshows, customer programs, executive experiences, and internal events like Sales Kickoff and President's Club. Your responsibilities include:
**First-Party & Third-Party Events:**
- Lead complete planning and execution from strategy and budgeting through delivery, measurement, and post-event analysis
- Own all operational components: venue and vendor selection, production, registration, attendee journey, hospitality, staffing, technology, and on-site operations
- Build run-of-show documents, project plans, timelines, and contingency plans; run execution on the ground
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Strategic Alliances, Campaigns, Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand Creative, Content, and Comms to engineer events for pipeline and customer engagement
- Manage budgets, contracts, POs, and vendor deliverables with rigor; track ROI on every dollar spent
- Develop repeatable playbooks, templates, and standards to scale the portfolio without sacrificing quality
- Serve as the trusted point of contact for stakeholders; anticipate risk and escalate appropriately
**Executive Experiences:**
- Design and deliver premium executive programs including advisory boards, curated hospitality, and executive tracks within larger events
- Apply hospitality-grade instincts to B2B: anticipatory, service-minded, detail-obsessed, resourceful
- Ensure every touchpoint in the executive journey is intentional, frictionless, and elevated—from invitation through follow-up
- Collaborate with executive team, SMEs, and Product Marketing to build agendas that deliver genuine insight to C-level audiences
- Coordinate executive and VIP participation end-to-end: briefing materials, prep, on-site handling, thoughtful follow-through
- Represent Abnormal directly to senior customer executives with professionalism and premium service mindset
**Large Internal Events:**
- Co-own planning and delivery of Abnormal's largest internal moments (Sales Kickoff, President's Club)
- Partner with Sales, Revenue Marketing, and People to define objectives, build agendas, and manage production, venue, travel, and operations
- Apply the same experience standard to internal events as external ones; these are where culture gets made
**Measurement & Impact:**
- Define and track KPIs: attendance, engagement, meetings, pipeline influence, customer participation, ROI
- Deliver post-event reporting with actionable recommendations on what to repeat, kill, or invest more in
- Use data and stakeholder feedback to continuously sharpen strategy, investment, and execution
- Maintain accurate, accessible event documentation and reporting across the portfolio
This role offers autonomy, a portfolio, a budget, and high standards. As Abnormal's event portfolio grows, so will the scope of this role, with a clear path toward greater strategic ownership.
**Requirements:**
- 7+ years in strategic events, executive programs, or field marketing, including direct experience owning executive-level programs (ideally in B2B technology, cybersecurity, SaaS, or high-growth environments)
- Proven ownership of complex, high-visibility owned events and executive programs from strategy through execution and analysis
- Premium experience mindset: obsessive about details, operationally excellent, ability to build memorable moments
- Strong program management: organized, proactive, structured, relentless about deadlines, skilled at driving cross-functional work to outcomes
- Experience delivering large internal events (Sales Kickoff, sales incentive trips, company offsites)
- Real budget, vendor, agency, and contract management experience across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Exceptional communication skills: polished agendas, briefing docs, executive-facing comms that require no cleanup
- Executive maturity: comfortable and credible in rooms with senior leaders (internal and customer-side)
- Composure under pressure: ability to plan months ahead and solve unexpected problems on-site in minutes
- Commercially minded: understand how events drive brand, customer relationships, and pipeline; make decisions accordingly
- Demonstrated use of AI to improve workflows, sharpen decisions, and create leverage (Abnormal is AI-native)
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%, primarily in North America
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus, not required
