Tanium is seeking a Senior Stock Administrator to lead day-to-day global equity compensation operations. This hands-on role manages the full lifecycle of RSU awards from issuance through vesting and release, maintains cap table accuracy, and supports financial reporting and audit work tied to equity.
Key responsibilities include administering global equity operations (new grant setup, RSU vesting/releases, terminations, cancellations); maintaining accurate grant and vesting data in stock plan platforms like Shareworks; overseeing cap table management and data reconciliation across systems; assisting with tax withholding and reporting for equity events in coordination with Payroll; ensuring compliance with equity and securities regulations; supporting financial reporting and audit disclosures; responding to employee equity questions; preparing recurring and ad hoc reports for Finance, Legal, and leadership; supporting internal controls and audit requests; assisting with IPO readiness projects including data cleanup and cap table validation; and leveraging AI tools to build and improve equity administration processes.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field with 3-4+ years of stock plan administration experience including RSU processing. Experience at a publicly traded company is strongly preferred given the higher reporting accuracy standards, SEC deadlines, and audit readiness requirements. Required skills include strong knowledge of equity compensation regulations and tax implications, working knowledge of equity administration platforms (Shareworks, Equity Edge Online, etc.), proficiency with Excel and data analysis, and comfort with process ownership rather than task execution. Experience with IPO preparation, familiarity with ASC 718 accounting standards, and demonstrated ability to use AI tools for process improvement are valued.
This hybrid position requires a minimum of three days per week in one of five office locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
