You will provide technical leadership to the RF (radio frequency) engineering team developing next-generation aircraft systems. Your responsibilities include quantifying and optimizing RF link performance, resolving desense and interference problems, and defining system-level and unit-level design requirements for all RF systems. You will improve design, test, and compliance processes across the engineering organization as they relate to RF, establish test procedures and requirements, and train operators and technicians to execute them.
You will help grow the RF team through hiring input and mentoring, establish and enforce team processes around design, test, review, cross-functional support, and regulatory compliance. Regular communication with cross-functional teams regarding RF status, risks, needs, and plans is essential. You will provide technical design input and review to your team and other engineering teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 15+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer in RF systems
- Strong technical fundamentals in RF engineering
- Experience working on cross-functional teams involving electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, and production
- Demonstrated experience technically mentoring and guiding other engineers
- Led design work at both unit level and system level
- Experienced with quantifying and improving RF sensitivity performance
