This Senior Specialist role in Enterprise Technical Account Management is based in Shanghai and focuses on building and maintaining strategic relationships with key clients while ensuring their technical success and satisfaction.
You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise clients, combining deep technical expertise with strong relationship management. Your responsibilities include understanding clients' business needs and proactively identifying opportunities to optimize their payment solutions. You'll provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to minimize disruption to their payment infrastructure. You'll also lead merchant demonstrations and technical training workshops to support upselling efforts and keep clients informed of new features.
Additionally, you'll manage projects involving the addition of new payment solutions and coordinate technical migrations as clients expand with Checkout.com, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery. You'll act as a conduit between clients and internal product teams, gathering feedback and documenting feature requests to inform the product roadmap. Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in payments, you'll share relevant insights with clients to help them navigate the evolving landscape.
Checkout.com operates with a hybrid model (three days per week in office) across 20 offices on six continents, with London as headquarters. The company emphasizes fast execution, global thinking, and building exceptional teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 years of experience in an analytical or technical role with experience managing internal and external stakeholders, including effective presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Economics, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience in internet technologies and technical processes
- Familiarity with payments industry regulations and technical frameworks (3DS, SCA, AVS, MIT)
- Familiarity with API-based integration methods and related tools/frameworks
- Familiarity with front and back end technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Results-oriented approach with focus on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of payments technology, compliance standards, and security protocols (PCI-DSS, PSD2) is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
- Fluency in speaking and writing English and Chinese; speaking Mandarin required
