Moxie empowers independent aesthetic entrepreneurs (med spas) to build profitable practices. This Senior SEO Specialist role owns SEO as a strategic service line across 700+ practices nationwide, moving it from ad-hoc tactics to a standardized, repeatable system.
You will set SEO strategy, raise execution quality standards, build scalable systems and reporting infrastructure, and lead a team of 2 junior SEO specialists. You'll report to the Marketing Services Lead and partner with Provider Success, Product, Data, RevOps, and Sales.
Key responsibilities include: (1) Audit representative practices and design a comprehensive SEO playbook with SLAs and QA checkpoints within three months; (2) Deliver measurable improvements in keyword rankings, Map Pack visibility, and organic lead volume by month six; (3) Define and implement a local SEO tool stack (rank tracking, citation management, reporting automation) that scales with minimal manual effort; (4) Define Moxie's strategy for AI-driven search (GEO/AEO) across AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini; (5) Become the internal SEO subject matter expert, mentoring team members and informing sales conversations.
Required: 5+ years hands-on SEO managing multiple small/local businesses (agency or multi-location brand experience preferred). Deep expertise across technical SEO (site speed, schema, crawlability), on-page/content SEO, local SEO (GBP, citations, Map Pack), and emerging GEO/AEO. Proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and citation platforms (BrightLocal, Whitespark, Yext). Systems-thinking mindset focused on standardization and scaling. 1-3+ years managing or mentoring junior team members. Ability to own a service line end-to-end: strategy, SLAs, QA, and business-impact reporting (leads/revenue). Bonus: local-service, multi-location, or franchise SEO experience.
