Remote is a global HR compliance platform that enables businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams across 80+ countries. The company operates fully remotely with a distributed workforce across six continents. This Senior Specialist role sits within the Lifecycle team and focuses on employee relations and offboarding for Remote's external employees across EMEA. You will manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions while ensuring legal compliance and delivering exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include: **Offboarding & Exits**: Manage complex employee separations across diverse legal jurisdictions, including terminations, resignations, transfers, and redundancy processes. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and settlement negotiations. Draft and administer termination documents with precision, ensuring strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations. **Employee Relations Support**: Provide first-level guidance on workplace concerns, conduct preliminary assessments of HR matters, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (legal counsel, payroll, government bodies, trade unions) to ensure appropriate handling. Support clients in understanding progressive discipline approaches and documentation requirements. **Stakeholder Coordination**: Liaise across multiple internal teams (Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance) and external parties to ensure compliant and timely administration of employee exits. Serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding matters for both internal and external queries. **Process Improvement**: Actively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience. Contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's core values and goals. The role requires navigating complex, multi-jurisdictional employment law, balancing competing stakeholder interests, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail in high-stakes situations. You'll work asynchronously in a distributed team environment with a strong focus on innovation and operational excellence.
