Workstream is a mission-driven HR, payroll, and hiring platform built specifically for the hourly workforce. With 2.7 billion hourly workers making up 80% of the global workforce, Workstream addresses a massive underserved market. The company serves leading brands including Burger King, Carl's Jr./Hardee's, IHOP, KFC, and Culvers, and is backed by top-tier VCs including Founders Fund, BOND, and Coatue. As a Senior Solutions Engineer in GTM Engineering, you'll serve as the technical bridge between Workstream's platform and enterprise customers. This is a builder's role with significant customer exposure—you'll own integration projects end-to-end, from discovery calls through production deployment. You'll design and build custom integrations connecting Workstream to payroll, scheduling, and back-office systems like CrunchTime, NetChef, ADP, Paychex, UKG Pro, and Teamworx. Your responsibilities span four key areas: Integration Development (40%)—building and deploying API integrations, CSV export solutions, and two-way payroll implementations; Customer Interaction (30%)—running technical requirement-gathering meetings, providing integration support, and translating business needs into technical specs; Production Integration Optimization (20%)—migrating integrations to production, optimizing for self-service scalability, and documenting processes; and Custom Solution Creation (10%)—developing custom career sites, reporting tools, and internal tooling for enterprise accounts and the Customer Success team. You'll carry five to six concurrent projects simultaneously, work directly with enterprise accounts, and have direct influence on retention and satisfaction for Workstream's largest customers. A typical day might include scoping a new-hire sync integration with an enterprise IT team, debugging and fixing a failing data sync, or pairing with teammates on integration code review. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Lehi, Utah, requiring 3 days per week in-office and 2 days remote to support close cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is a developer who enjoys customer interaction, can explain complex technical problems in accessible terms, and prefers automating recurring requests over answering them repeatedly.
