Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support pre-sales technical activities across French-speaking Africa, based in Dubai with up to 50% travel. You will be a customer-facing technologist within the Solutions Engineering team, partnering with sales to understand enterprise customer requirements and deliver technical value.
Key responsibilities include identifying and mapping customer business problems to Cloudflare's CDN, security, and networking solutions; building technical relationships and champions within customer accounts; developing and presenting technical materials at various organizational levels; leading proof-of-concept trials and demos; and representing Cloudflare at industry events with thought leadership.
You will apply deep vertical and domain expertise to advise customers on best practices, create professional content (white papers, blog posts), and evangelize Cloudflare's platform externally. The role requires strong communication skills to explain complex technical benefits to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required qualifications include fluency in English and French (spoken and written), with Arabic as a desirable add-on. You need previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a customer-facing technical role with CDN, security, networking, or SaaS platforms. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Desirable technical knowledge includes network/application architectures, hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), application and network security, SaaS environments, VPN/remote access, SIEM/log analytics, and client OS fundamentals.
