Turnitin is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to serve as a strategic, customer-facing technical expert in the pre-sales process. You will partner closely with sales teams to drive revenue growth and deepen relationships with Higher Education and Secondary Education customers. Your role combines direct customer engagement with internal cross-functional collaboration.
Day-to-day responsibilities include leading or assisting customer meetings (product overviews, demos, workflow discussions, business cases), managing technical evaluations and proofs of concept, and supporting the RFP/RFI process. You will serve as the voice of the customer internally, synthesizing market feedback and competitive insights for Product and Marketing teams. You'll conduct technical discovery with customer stakeholders (CIOs, Administrators, Deans) to understand requirements, constraints, and design future-state workflows. Additionally, you will craft and deliver high-impact, tailored product demonstrations, build compelling business cases aligned to customer pain points, and develop deal strategies with sales teams.
Turnitin's products include Integrity and Assessment solutions used by over 16,000 academic institutions, publishers, and corporations across 185+ countries. The company has a 25+ year track record as an innovator in global education technology, with a remote-first culture and presence in 35+ countries.
You will contribute to a collaborative, low-ego, growth-focused team, participate in mentorship, promote best practice sharing across global Go-To-Market teams, and help scale the Solutions Engineering organization. The role requires flexibility to work across global time zones to support One Team collaboration.

- Flexible and humble approach, focused on doing what is best for Turnitin customers, people, and business
- Proven track record of managing technical evaluations, Proofs of Concept, and RFP responses in complex sales cycles
- Demonstrated expertise with customer workflows, including ability to understand complex integrations, gather requirements, and accelerate change management
- Experience with LMS, LTI standards, and REST APIs is a plus
- Must be able to regularly flex schedule across global time zones
