Chainguard is a venture-backed software supply-chain security company delivering hardened, secure, production-ready builds of open source software. The company serves Fortune 500 enterprises and global leaders including OpenAI, Snap, Snowflake, and HPE.
As a Senior Solutions Architect in Professional Services, you will lead technical implementations for Public Sector customers, driving adoption of Chainguard's container image platform. You'll be the primary technical point of contact, ensuring customers successfully build secure software with open source across their organizations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end technical implementations and customer onboarding
- Partnering with account teams (AEs, SEs, CSMs, Support) to develop account strategies and drive value realization
- Acting as "customer zero" to test, document, and validate Chainguard Images for quality and usability
- Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer requirements into prioritized feature development
- Establishing best practices, maintaining account architecture, and sharing lessons learned across the organization
- Supporting cross-functional collaboration and customer success
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years post-sales experience supporting Public Sector clients
- 8+ years developing high-performance multi-tier applications
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, containers, and modern software security practices
- Experience with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CMMC)
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences (engineers to executives)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT
- Strong software development and engineering design knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willingness to travel up to 15% for customer engagements
- U.S. citizenship required
