Salary: USD 226,000 - 283,000 / annual
New Relic is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers undergoing observability transformation. You will work collaboratively across Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to design and implement strategic observability solutions that drive measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical evaluations and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements with customers, owning the full lifecycle from discovery through implementation
- Conduct regular on-site and remote customer visits to understand business objectives and align observability strategies
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders to drive platform adoption and net ACR expansion
- Design comprehensive observability solutions by mapping customer business outcomes to required platform capabilities
- Accelerate customer transformation initiatives and observability maturity assessments
- Provide technical consulting and advisory support across all phases of the sales cycle
- Develop thought leadership artifacts including reference architectures, technical blogs, conference presentations, and field resources
- Communicate technical and business concepts effectively to audiences ranging from C-suite executives to development teams
- Continuously develop professional expertise through training, mentorship, and knowledge sharing
This role requires deep technical expertise combined with strategic business acumen. You will be the bridge between customer needs and New Relic's platform capabilities, helping organizations optimize their digital applications and systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years of professional software development experience in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or Golang)
- Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry standards and open-source observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Demonstrated experience with observability platforms (New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, Dynatrace, or Grafana Labs)
- Understanding of Service Level measurement approaches (SLI/SLO)
- Experience with DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering service delivery disciplines
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, serverless)
- Strong presentation and communication skills at both technical and executive levels
- Ability to analyze business requirements and anticipate customer needs
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
