Salary: USD 220,000 - 290,000 / annual
Fal is a generative media infrastructure platform enabling developers and enterprises to move AI products from idea to production at scale. The company provides unified infrastructure for high-performance inference, orchestration, and observability.
As Senior Solutions Architect, you will serve as the lead technical advisor to enterprise customers and strategic AI model providers, translating complex business requirements into scalable solution architectures on the fal.ai platform. You will cultivate deep technical relationships with Chinese AI model providers and technology companies, acting as the primary technical point of contact for these partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engage with prospective and existing clients to assess technical needs and recommend appropriate models and services
- Design, prototype, and validate reference architectures and integration patterns that accelerate customer time-to-value
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Business Development) to define go-to-market strategies
- Provide strategic technical guidance during pre-sales and post-sales cycles, including discovery, proof-of-concept development, and production deployment planning
- Intervene directly to unblock strategic customer deals, providing deep technical expertise
- Represent fal.ai as a technical thought leader at industry conferences, partner events, and developer meetups, including events in Greater China
- Gather and synthesize product feedback from customers and partners to inform product roadmap
- Develop technical documentation, best-practice guides, and enablement materials
- Stay current with emerging trends in generative AI, LLMs, diffusion models, and cloud-native infrastructure
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field plus 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in technical customer-facing or partner-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, Software Consultant, Senior Application Engineer). Must have 10 years managing full sales cycle technical engagements; 10 years designing and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMware), containerization, microservices, and APIs; 8 years post-sales technical engagement architecting enterprise solutions; 7 years delivering technical presentations to C-suite and engineering teams focused on AI inference and infrastructure optimization; 6 years designing scalable cloud architectures in multi-cloud/hybrid environments; 5 years deploying solutions within Chinese technology ecosystem (Alibaba Cloud, Tencent, Baidu, ByteDance); 5 years coding for inference with Python and SQL; 5 years collaborating with GSIs/RSIs and cloud providers on complex technical challenges; 3 years tailoring AI models to customer specifications including LLMs, diffusion models, inference optimization, and MLOps; professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written). Travel required up to 25-35% of time.
