Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for Financial Services to work directly with the sales team and channel partners in solving complex customer problems and closing large deals. You will demonstrate Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical audiences, support enterprise proof-of-concepts, and guide customers through the entire sales cycle from initial demo through implementation.
In this role, you will present Snowflake technology to C-suite and technical contributors at prospects and customers, work hands-on with customers to demonstrate value throughout the sales cycle, maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, and collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's offerings. You will be equally comfortable in business and technical contexts, interacting with executives and technical teams alike.
You are expected to share a passion for reinventing the database space, thrive in dynamic environments, and possess the flexibility to jump in and get things done. The role involves approximately 30% travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment
- Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences (whiteboard, presentations, demos)
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud
- Proactive curiosity for the AI landscape; ability to be a visionary and technical thought partner for customers
- Proven ability to leverage AI code generation tools to accelerate productivity
- Broad experience with large-scale database and/or data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric)
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
- Ability to connect customer business problems to Snowflake solutions
- Ability to perform deep discovery of customer architecture and connect to Snowflake Data Architecture
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience); Master's in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus
- Experience with GSIs (EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc.) is beneficial but not required
