Salary: USD 148,190 - 198,170 / annual
Contentful (now part of Salesforce) is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to play a critical role in helping customers realize how Contentful's headless CMS platform can support their digital transformation efforts.
In this role, you will act as a co-pilot on sales opportunities, working closely with Account Executives through key phases of the sales cycle including technical discovery, product presentations, collaborative solution design sessions, and proofs of concept. You'll dive deep into customers' short-term and long-term digital objectives, their current and future technology stacks, and challenges they face—then validate and illustrate how Contentful can help through customized, value-based product demonstrations and POCs.
You'll also assist with RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires; relay product feedback from customers to Product Management, Marketing, and Sales; collaborate with Solution Architects and Customer Success Managers to ensure successful implementation of newly-signed customers; and travel onsite with customers when necessary. This is a dynamic role where you'll make an impact on sales results, help drive the direction of the Solution Engineering function, and grow your career within a high-growth company.
The onboarding experience will immerse you in the Contentful product, APIs, SDKs, CLI, partner ecosystem, enterprise presentation frameworks, and the content management competitive landscape.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- 5+ years of Solution Engineering experience selling SaaS, or related industry experience selling to Marketing & Marketing-adjacent teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in conveying technical and business knowledge to mixed audiences of business and technical stakeholders
- Experience with REST APIs
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working with a Content Management Platform or similar technology
- Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript frameworks, static site generators, CDNs, CI/CD, etc.), cloud technology, performance metrics, and security
- Experience with omnichannel digital delivery concepts (websites, emails, native mobile apps, etc.)
