Salary: USD 135,000 - 180,000 / annual
Formlabs is seeking a Senior Software Product Designer to shape UX/UI design across embedded, desktop, and web products. The company builds 3D printing technology used by over 50,000 industry leaders including Apple, Google, Tesla, and NASA.
In this role, you will:
- Deeply understand customer needs and translate insights into innovative features
- Collaborate closely with engineering to refine designs from low-fidelity wireframes through pixel-perfect prototypes to public release
- Partner with product managers to ideate, define, and validate early-stage concepts for new features
- Conduct in-depth research including user data analysis, high-fidelity prototyping, and usability studies to inform strategic design decisions
- Conduct regular audits of end-to-end user experience across the ecosystem and propose impactful initiatives to leadership
- Help design, grow, and maintain robust design systems ensuring consistency across all products

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record working on complex, technical products with experience spanning desktop, web, mobile, or embedded interfaces
- Clear understanding of human-computer interaction principles with ability to execute and communicate design intentions effectively
- Strong and diverse portfolio demonstrating early-stage ideation, user research, and pixel-perfect designs
- Deep expertise with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Technical background with experience working closely with product and engineering teams
- Prior experience designing software for physical products and/or background in industrial design
BONUS SKILLS:
- Interest in 3D printing, CAD, embedded software, or related technologies
- Computer Science background or coding experience
- Experience with Qt, QML, or OpenGL
