MNTN is seeking a Content Designer to join Digital Strategy & Experience, the customer-experience team within MNTN Engineering. This role owns content strategy and execution across the product portfolio, ensuring content is accurate, consistent, findable, reusable, and AI-ready.
You will own content for your product portfolio across Help Centers, release notes, micro-tutorials, internal knowledge bases, and change guidance—including articles, videos, technical documentation, and troubleshooting content built for real customer problems. You'll lead content readiness for product launches, partnering with Technical Program Managers to turn engineering documentation into accurate, customer-facing content alongside development, with content coverage held to the same standard as code and QA.
Key responsibilities include creating plain-language narratives around product changes (what changed, why it matters, what customers should do), partnering with the Digital Strategy Manager on in-app guidance, owning the content coverage roadmap for your product line, and turning complex product information into clear, decision-ready guidance using established taxonomy and AI-retrieval standards. You'll build language foundations for consistent customer experience (terminology, tone, voice) and track content performance across self-service resolution, AI retrieval, and accuracy to inform content rebuilds and retirements.
Success is measured by content that measurably closes top support drivers and contributes to AI deflection, upward-trending content health metrics, and positioning your change documentation as a core input to go-to-market motions alongside product release briefs and positioning docs.
MNTN provides advertising software for Connected TV, web, and mobile, serving thousands of top brands. The company was named one of Ad Age's Best Places To Work in 2026 and Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2023.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience in content design, content strategy, or technical writing in SaaS, with a track record of owning content for a product line or portfolio (not just executing requests)
- Sharp writing and editing skills to turn dense or ambiguous product information into actionable customer guidance
- Deep technical acumen; comfortable pressure-testing engineering documentation and troubleshooting flows to identify gaps
- Track record of partnering directly with Product leaders and engineers as a peer during release processes, pulling from documentation, asking follow-up questions, and closing gaps through direct product access
- Working knowledge of writing content for AI retrieval and conversational support tools; understanding that structure and clarity determine model accuracy
- Fluency across multiple formats (troubleshooting articles, release notes, in-app UX copy, how-to scripts) with judgment to select the right format; comfortable extending into interface craft (microcopy, in-product UI text) when needed
- Self-directed operator who can take a prioritized roadmap and quality bar and execute independently
