Neko Health is redefining preventative healthcare by making data-driven, personalized care accessible before symptoms appear. In a single non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and clinical care combine to deliver actionable health insights.
As Design Engineer for Member Experience, you will own how Neko looks and feels in code across every surface members touch: mobile app, web, wearables, clinic displays, and scan room interfaces. You bridge design and engineering, translating Figma designs to production while maintaining high standards for interaction, motion, animation, and performance. You will build and evolve a cross-platform design system that enables a small team to ship fast and consistently—one that works for both human engineers and AI-generated code.
In your first 6–12 months, you will:
- Ship end-to-end member-facing experiences across app, web, wearables, and clinic screens, with code prototypes delivered within a day
- Design and build a unified cross-platform design system with Design and Motion teams, defining component contracts and establishing Neko's motion language
- Drive adoption by migrating existing products onto the system, eliminating duplicated components, and making it the default choice for engineers and AI tools
- Create a design system that AI agents can use as effectively as humans—typed, documented, and opinionated enough that generated UI feels native to Neko
- Continuously evaluate new design tools and models, rebuilding workflows when better solutions emerge
You will work with a team that thinks in 10x impact, not incremental improvements. Every detail matters because those details make a product feel great. Healthcare design demands calm, trust, and clarity—and your work will help people live longer, healthier lives.

- Proven experience building or owning a design system that other engineers adopted and that raised craft standards for the team
- Product mindset with ability to move quickly from idea to production, across the stack when needed
- Fluent in Figma, including variables and design token pipelines with multi-platform output
- Daily use of AI coding tools combined with pixel-perfect attention to detail
PREFERRED:
- Animation and motion on native mobile (Reanimated, Lottie, Rive, or similar)
- Experience building LLM-powered or AI-driven interfaces
- Design experience for wearables or physical hardware screens
- Background in healthcare or fields where calm, trust, and clarity are core to the product
