ICEYE is a defense and earth observation company operating a world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite constellation. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Fleet Automation team, you will own critical infrastructure that processes continuous telemetry streams from satellites into operational state in near real-time. You will design and operate the pipelines, parsers, and time-series data stores that translate raw satellite signals into actionable intelligence for mission operations. The scope is expanding with real ownership—you'll drive outcomes across multiple dimensions: ensuring telemetry pipelines ingest and transform satellite data reliably with minimal manual intervention, maintaining performant data stores through schema design and query optimization, building anomaly detection and automated recovery systems to reduce operational load, and delivering production-grade TTC gateway telemetry integration for customer deployment. You will also actively raise engineering quality across the team through code reviews, testing standards, and mentoring. Required competencies include strong Python proficiency in production backend systems (Go or Rust a plus), proven experience building and operating telemetry systems and distributed systems in production, strong PostgreSQL knowledge and experience with time-series databases like InfluxDB or Prometheus, hands-on Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code expertise (Terraform, Helm), and active use of AI/LLM tools in your engineering workflow. AWS or equivalent cloud platform experience is a plus. ICEYE values intellectual firepower, passion and work ethic, ownership and action, team collaboration, integrity, and growth mindset. You'll join a diverse, highly engaged team of 900+ employees across offices in Finland, Poland, Spain, Japan, UAE, Greece, and the US. The role offers continuous professional development, occupational healthcare, yearly benefit budget, phone/iPhone, relocation support, and time for self-development and conferences.
