Salary: USD 149,800 - 241,500 / annual

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators for Camunda's SaaS offering, ensuring reliability and performance across numerous customer clusters. You'll work on complex challenges related to Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and multi-cloud deployments across GCP and AWS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain Kubernetes Operators to manage the Camunda SaaS platform, directly contributing to world-class reliability for global customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, field) to define, ship, and iterate on features that extend Camunda's SaaS across clouds, enable multi-region deployments, and deliver enterprise-grade security
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing codebases for security, stability, and reliability
- Advocate for new ideas and help build a team environment that values creativity and practicality
- Participate in on-call rotation and 3rd-level escalation support

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience using Go or another relevant language for cloud-native software development
- Practical experience with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and deep understanding of its core concepts
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team, share knowledge, and contribute to positive engineering culture
- Pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem-solving
- "You build it, you run it" mentality with deep passion for automation and raising quality standards
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Experience writing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators, ideally with Controller-Runtime & Kubebuilder
- Familiarity with infrastructure topics such as multi-region or multi-cloud provider setups, ideally with Crossplane
