KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to build and maintain the K4B (KAYAK for Business) platform—a new corporate travel solution. This role focuses on data processing, API integrations, and enterprise system development for a world-leading travel search engine.
You will extract and process large volumes of data from databases, design and implement high-performance integrations with third-party APIs (airlines, hotels, rental car providers), and develop tools for debugging and enterprise configuration. Key responsibilities include writing scripts to parse and clean data, communicating with REST/SOAP APIs, building reusable modules as KAYAK expands its enterprise footprint, and taking full ownership of features from concept through deployment while maintaining high code quality standards.
You'll participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to ensure the platform remains modular and scalable. The role requires strong fundamentals in Java, data structures, algorithms, and software design, with 6–8 years of professional experience. Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle), Unix shell scripting, Spring & Mybatis frameworks, REST/SOAP API development, and DOM/XPath is expected. B2B systems experience, identity/HR integrations (SCIM, SAML/OAuth, SSO, Workday, Okta), and travel domain knowledge are beneficial.
This is a hybrid role based in Concord, MA, requiring at least 3 days per week in the office. KAYAK offers competitive benefits including flexible remote work (up to 20 days/year), mental health support, generous PTO, paid parental leave, professional development dollars, and a strong focus on employee well-being.
