Salary: CAD 150,000 - 200,000 / annual
PocketHealth is a healthcare technology company with two core products: an imaging platform giving patients secure access to medical records, and Conductor, an agentic AI automation platform designed to reduce administrative burden on healthcare providers.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Conductor team, you will own end-to-end technical implementations for healthcare provider clients. You report directly to the Co-Founder & CTO and serve as the primary technical point of contact throughout each deployment lifecycle—from pre-sales proof-of-concept through go-live and ongoing support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Own full-stack deployments: Lead technical implementation from kickoff through production, writing code, managing integration scope, and building client relationships that drive long-term success.
• Accelerate sales: Partner with GTM to run technical demos, prototype automations against real provider workflows, and lead sessions that convert prospects into customers.
• Build and ship: Write and extend agentic workflows in Conductor's orchestration engine. Work across the full stack—Python and TypeScript backend services, integrations against healthcare systems (HL7 v2, FHIR, DICOM, RIS/PACS, EMR webhooks, scheduling software), and production-grade code.
• Diagnose and resolve issues: Be the first technical escalation during and after go-live. Use logs, workflow state, and telemetry to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
• Shape the product: Translate client friction into structured feedback. Identify patterns across deployments that should drive platform evolution.
• Strengthen the platform: Document solutions, contribute to integration libraries, shared tooling, and deployment runbooks that improve future deployments.
The role is hybrid with two days per week in the Toronto office; the remainder is flexible.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
• 5–8 years of software engineering experience with meaningful time in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or embedded client-facing roles
• Track record of shipping production code in client environments (not just internal products)
Technical Skills:
• Strong full-stack fundamentals: comfortable owning backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and integration layers end to end
• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript; able to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code
• Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, or similar)
• Experience building and debugging integrations against third-party APIs and data systems
• Experience with workflow orchestration engines (Step Functions, Cadence, Temporal, Prefect, or similar) is a strong plus
