Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI infrastructure company powering autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The Cloud Infrastructure team builds and operates the platform that enables product engineering to ship, operate, and scale applications serving critical enterprise workloads.
In this role, you will own the full cloud infrastructure stack—compute, networking, storage, observability, security, and CI/CD—across all major cloud providers. You'll design and build multi-cluster Kubernetes infrastructure with high reliability, create multi-tenant platform primitives (tenant-safe storage, RBAC, workload identity), and architect secure execution environments for agentic and untrusted workloads.
You'll act as a solutions architect for internal platform customers, translating their scaling and reliability needs into concrete infrastructure designs and driving them to production. You'll improve developer effectiveness by identifying friction points and building tooling to remove them. You'll debug distributed systems edge cases, own production incidents end-to-end (incident command, postmortems, prevention), and mentor engineers to raise the technical bar.
The role requires 5+ years building and operating large-scale infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps systems. You need deep Kubernetes expertise, hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI), and production-quality coding skills in Go, Python, Rust, or C++. Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, Crossplane) are essential.
Strong candidates may have experience with serverless platforms (Knative, Cloud Run, KEDA), workload isolation (Linux namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, gVisor, Firecracker), cluster networking (CNI, eBPF, service mesh), multi-cluster Kubernetes at scale, platform security (admission control, IAM, OIDC/SPIFFE), incident command for production systems, or enterprise AI infrastructure delivery.
Applied Intuition operates in-office with offices globally (Sunnyvale HQ, plus DC, San Diego, Ft. Walton Beach, Ann Arbor, London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul, Tokyo). Full-time employees are expected to work from their office 5 days per week, with flexibility for occasional remote work and schedule adjustments.
