Webflow is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Developer Productivity team, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager. This is a permanent, full-time remote role based in Argentina.
You'll design and build the Nest.js service scaffolding that enables product teams to stand up new backend services in Webflow's next-generation monorepo. Your responsibilities include implementing paved paths and generators that allow new services to work on day one, building the seams that let services run independently of the existing monolith, and owning the deployment story for services and web applications on Cloudflare with interoperability across AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure managed through Pulumi and Argo CD.
Key responsibilities:
- Design backend service architecture, defining service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership
- Lead migrations of substantial codebases into the monorepo, turning each into a repeatable recipe
- Partner directly with product teams as platform customers, treating their adoption as the measure of success
- Encode learnings into tooling, generators, and agent-assisted workflows to increase team leverage
- Participate in engineering citizenship activities including technical writing, hiring, and internal hackathons
You bring 5+ years of experience building and operating backend services in production, with demonstrated expertise in backend service design. You're fluent in TypeScript and Node, comfortable with edge runtimes, and have hands-on experience with monorepo tooling at scale (Nx, Turborepo, or similar). You understand build-graph correctness as a product concern and treat migration work as engineering rather than chores. You're comfortable working across cloud boundaries and communicate decisions clearly in writing. You stay curious about emerging technologies and actively build fluency in AI to elevate how the team works.
