Restream, the #1 multistreaming platform with 11+ million users worldwide, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Billing Team. You will develop and maintain backend services, design and implement APIs and business logic to support new and existing features, and ensure the reliability and resilience of production infrastructure as the company scales.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain features in Restream web services
- Design and implement backend APIs and business logic for new and existing features
- Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving feedback with the team
- Monitor emerging technologies and identify opportunities within the technical environment
- Ensure redundancy and resilience of production infrastructure
- Work in a small, high-impact team where each member contributes significant value
Restream was founded in 2015 in Ukraine with a mission to help creators share their stories through live video. The company operates with a flat structure, startup environment, and offers the opportunity to work closely with founders on product evolution.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Expert proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language
- Highly proficient in database design, including both relational and NoSQL databases (Scylla, Redis)
- Experience creating, testing, consuming, and supporting APIs for web services
- Comfortable with AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous deployment workflows
- Experience with multiple programming languages in a tech stack
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed, analytical, and collaborative team player
- Basic front-end skills (modern front-end frameworks experience is a plus)
- Node.JS (TypeScript) or Rust experience is a plus but not required
- Scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude focused on delivering high-quality projects quickly
