Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Manager, Social Media to lead the strategy, planning, and delivery of the company's French social presence. Reporting to the Director of Social, Cultural and Earned Media, you'll shape how Deliveroo appears across social channels—Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube—ensuring culturally relevant, platform-native, and creatively ambitious work.
You'll balance strategic ownership with hands-on leadership, setting long-term direction for social in France while maintaining a timely, engaging day-to-day presence. Key responsibilities include developing and executing social strategy and roadmap across always-on activity, brand campaigns, commercial priorities, and cultural moments. You'll translate global brand and campaign strategies into locally relevant, social-first ideas and formats that resonate with French audiences.
You'll lead the French social team, overseeing content calendars, tone of voice, and community engagement. Acting as the senior social lead for France, you'll collaborate across local Marketing, Brand, Media, Commercial, PR, and Global teams to embed social early in campaign planning. You'll manage agency partners and influencer activity from briefing through launch, ensuring work meets creative, strategic, and operational standards.
The role requires staying connected to French culture and internet behavior—monitoring trends, creators, communities, and competitors to identify credible opportunities for Deliveroo to join or lead conversations. You'll establish effective reporting on social performance and community insights, using learnings to optimize content and channel strategy. You'll also coach junior team members and contribute to raising social standards across markets.
Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in major social platforms, flawless written French and excellent English, strong strategic and creative judgment, and experience developing campaigns that build brand visibility and cultural relevance. A data-informed approach, strong leadership and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage agency partners, stakeholders, and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment are essential. The role is hybrid, based in Paris or London, with three days per week in office.
