Snowflake is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to lead and elevate its social media presence within the global developer community. This role is critical to reinforcing Snowflake's AI Data Cloud vision and business momentum by showcasing technical innovation and value to developers.
You will serve as the steward of Snowflake's developer social presence, working closely with cross-functional teams including PR, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, and broader Marketing and Global Communications teams. You will develop and execute integrated social strategies across owned, paid, and earned channels, with a focus on driving awareness and engagement with technical audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
**Strategy & Execution:** Craft and lead the execution of developer social media strategy, including platform mix and editorial direction. Drive integrated social plans for key Snowflake moments such as feature releases, open source contributions, and technical events. Serve as the social lead for select solution areas (e.g., AI, Data Engineering), owning social plans for recurring programs and category launches. Lead social planning and execution for Snowflake's flagship developer events, from pre-event promotion through post-event amplification. Collaborate with developer relations and advocacy teams to align priorities and co-create opportunities. Deliver insightful monthly, quarterly, and campaign-based reports demonstrating impact on community and business.
**Content & Community:** Act as a brand steward with community experience in mind. Bring new content ideas and franchises to drive awareness and engagement with key narratives. Write, edit, and publish everyday content across platforms in line with Snowflake's narrative and developer voice. Lead social creative direction in collaboration with creative teams and business partners. Actively engage with the community to drive two-way exchange and nurture connection to Snowflake.
**Paid Social:** Develop paid strategies with clear KPIs supporting key narratives and initiatives. Create and execute paid social campaigns across platforms, including ad setup, targeting, and content promotion. Lead reporting on campaign impact and distill learnings for internal audiences.
You will operate autonomously in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment, managing complex multi-stakeholder programs from strategy through execution. You are expected to be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable with an experimental, test-and-learn mindset.
**Requirements:**
- 8-10+ years of experience in B2B technology social media (in-house or agency)
- Well-rounded social media marketing and/or communications experience, including owned, paid, and earned strategies
- Strong passion for social and emerging technology, with hands-on use of AI tools for content creation, trend analysis, experimentation, reporting, and workflow efficiency
- Experimental, test-and-learn orientation to create social success stories
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create compelling content for various audiences across paid, earned, and owned channels
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs from strategy through execution with strong deadline discipline
- Superb organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced environment
- Ability to act as social project manager for cross-functional working groups, proactively driving reviews, content sourcing, and timeline adherence
- Proven track record of managing multiple high-priority projects from strategy to execution
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
- Strong judgment, diplomacy, and confidence to engage and build consensus with stakeholders
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
