The Detection and Response Team (DART) is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to build and scale a world-class incident response function. This role combines hands-on security operations with infrastructure development to strengthen Rippling's detection and response capabilities across production and corporate environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to security events with rapid triage, investigation, and incident analysis; communicating findings clearly to stakeholders
- Improving detection and response processes, procedures, and technologies through post-incident reviews and continuous optimization
- Developing and deploying tools to collect security telemetry from cloud production systems
- Automating incident response workflows to reduce detection and response times
- Building and tuning detection rules to maximize signal-to-noise ratio and focus team effort on high-impact alerts
- Contributing to a learning culture where the organization grows from security incidents
This is a hands-on technical role for someone with strong incident response experience, cloud security knowledge, and the ability to bridge detection engineering with operational security. The ideal candidate combines deep security expertise with a collaborative mindset and a drive to scale security operations.
