Precision for Medicine seeks a Senior Scientific Director to lead flow cytometry assay development and validation for clinical and non-clinical studies. This is a head-of-laboratory role with full responsibility for scientific activities, regulatory compliance, staff management, and client delivery metrics.
Key responsibilities include mentoring and directing scientific staff on flow cytometry assays (receptor occupancy, cellular markers); ensuring method development and validation meet quality and timeline standards; maintaining compliance with GxP, CAP/CLIA, and ISO standards; serving as technical lead and subject matter expert for all flow cytometry projects; acting as project director or principal investigator as needed; leading experimental design and data analysis; communicating with clients on project status and deliverables; establishing and improving SOPs, protocols, and validation procedures; identifying and implementing emerging techniques and instrumentation; troubleshooting scientific issues; writing abstracts and scientific papers; presenting at conferences; and supporting safe lab practices.
Required qualifications: PhD in life sciences or equivalent with 18+ years full-time relevant laboratory experience; 10+ years management experience; solid understanding of GxP, CAP/CLIA, ISO standards; prior GLP, GCLP, or CLIA regulatory compliance experience; expert-level human flow cytometry assay experience; experience with plasma, serum, and PBMC samples; experience developing panels on fresh and fixed cells; understanding of method validation standards; excellent communication and organizational skills; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gen5, and GraphPad Prism; ability to organize and analyze data; strong judgment and discretion; occasional extended hours; physical capability to lift 1–15 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs with assistance; exposure to freezer environments (-20°C to -196°C); fluent English.
