Zscaler is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its Federal team, specifically focused on the Army vertical. This is a hands-on technical role where you will architect technical solutions that address critical customer pain points in mission-critical environments.
You will oversee the technical sales process by translating complex enterprise requirements into transformative Zero Trust solution architectures, explaining the business "why" to CIOs and the technical "how" to network engineers with equal fluency. You will lead Proof of Value (POV) engagements from start to finish, producing high-quality POV assets and documentation that articulate Zscaler's differentiated value. You will cultivate technical champions by providing responsive technical counsel and earning trusted advisor status with customers. You will share ownership of account development strategies with Account Executives, from pipeline generation through technical close.
Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform protects thousands of customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location. The platform is distributed across 160+ public exchanges globally and is the world's largest in-line cloud security platform.
You champion simplicity, distilling complex problems and technical concepts into clear, actionable plans. You act like an owner with passion for the mission and bias for action. You navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, remain resilient and adaptable in high-pressure situations, and understand that selling is a team sport—you are collegial, customer-obsessed, and highly responsive to both customers and internal colleagues.

- Proven track record of moving large-scale customers from legacy architectures to modern, cloud-native Zero Trust security models
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of network security, Zero Trust architecture, and SSE/SASE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience across multiple Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance workflows
- Familiarity with Federal compliance frameworks (e.g., CMMC)
- Industry certifications including CISSP, CCSP, CCNP, PCNSA, or JNCIP
